Color Dare: 231 & Creative Scrappers 303

Welcome to the Color My Heart color dare! We’re so glad to have you! Here’s what you do: Create a project of your preference using those colors. Please make sure you use only and all of the colors in our challenge. If you don’t have the exact colors, just use the closest you have. We ask that you not add neutrals to your project. Shades of white and/or black for sentiments and outlines will be allowed (unless otherwise specified).

This week at Color My Heart Challenge Blog our Color Dare: 231 Sorbet, Whisper, New England Ivy, Fern, Desert Sand, Colonial White, White & Sea Glass

Here’s my take on this challenge!

I cut all of the patterned papers into 3/4 x 12 at first. I used the edge distresser to distress all of the edges.  Once I completed that. I placed the strips where I want and cut off the excessive to shorten it.  I also distressed the  4 1/4 x 4 1/4 sorbet mat.

Supplies Used:
Papers: Hello Lovely WYW (Workshop Your Way), Sorbet & Fern
Accessories: Hello Lovely Complements & Edge Distresser

I used the Sketch from {Creative Scrappers 303}.  As you can see; I made some modification to my layout from her layout.

Take a photo of your project, upload it to your blog or online gallery, and link your post up at the {Color Dare Blog}. You must provide a direct link to your post. Please include a link to our site and our challenge photo on your blog post. You have until Thursday @ 9PM central to link your work. We would love to see all of your creations!

  3. Love how you used the different zip strips and design papers on your background, and your modifications to the sketch makes it a lot less busy and CAS and very pretty.

  4. Great layout…I never think to use colored cardstock as my base.

  5. Great layout! Love how you distressed the edges of your papers.
