Showcase Day – Altered Frame

I was asked to make a name frame for a close friend whose brother just had his first child.

It’s pretty easy to make this. I ripped 3 different colors of cardstocks in around 2 inches wide by 6 1/4 inches. I layered them then glued them down. I stamped different type of sports theme onto the cardstocks with Chocolate inkpad. I also took the “weight/length/time/date” information from a retired stamp set by using chocolate inkpad.  I left that blank on purpose because I thought the parents would want to fill that in for themselves.  I layered the name that was done with versa-mark inkpad then I used chocolate embossing powder on it.  I glued the name square onto chocolate cardstock and used Perfect Layers (retired) to create the mats around it. I took a bunch of different type of ribbons and stapled it to the side of the cardstock on “E”.  Viola – you’re done. This probably took me about an hour the most.

This is what the desk looked like after assembling them before I glued them down. IMG_0844
